SMS Consent and Messaging Policy
When we text you, what we send, and how to stop.
If you give us your phone number and check the SMS-consent box, we may send appointment reminders, ETA updates, and follow-up scheduling messages. Plain rules below.
How you opt in
SMS messaging from Keil Electric is opt-in. You opt in either by checking the SMS-consent box on a contact or quote form, or by texting one of our published numbers (Austin: (888) 442-5345 / San Diego: (619) 771-1114) first. We do not send marketing texts to numbers we obtained any other way, and we never buy or rent phone lists.
The consent box on our forms reads: "Yes, send me SMS messages about my service request. Standard message and data rates apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time." When you check that box, you are agreeing to the terms on this page.
What we send
Service-related messages only. Specifically:
- Appointment reminders the day before a scheduled visit.
- ETA updates on the day of a scheduled visit (when the crew is en route, when there is a delay).
- Follow-up scheduling for repairs, warranty visits, or quoted work that is on hold pending your decision.
- Replies to messages you send us about an active service request.
We do not send promotional messages, daily/weekly broadcast campaigns, or upsell texts. The whole point of the SMS opt-in is the practical operational stuff: when is the truck arriving, did you want to schedule that quoted panel upgrade, the inspector is on site for the final.
Message frequency
Frequency varies by your active service status. If you have an active project or recent quote, expect 1-3 messages around scheduling and visits. If you have no active work, expect zero messages. We do not send recurring weekly or monthly messages.
Standard rates apply
Message and data rates may apply per your wireless carrier's plan. Keil Electric does not charge for SMS messages we send; any charges come from your carrier. If you are on a limited-data or pay-per-message plan, factor that in before opting in.
How to opt out
Reply STOP to any message we send. The carrier processes the opt-out automatically and you will receive a confirmation message. You will not receive further SMS from us at that number unless you re-opt-in by texting us again or rechecking the consent box on a future request.
You can also reply HELP for support information, or contact the local shop by phone or email.
What we never do with your number
We do not sell, rent, share, or otherwise distribute your phone number to third parties. The only systems that touch your number are: the local Keil Electric shop's CRM, the carrier sending the SMS on our behalf, and (when you reply) our SMS-receiving inbox. No marketing partners, no affiliate networks, no lead-resellers.
Carriers and supported networks
SMS messages are delivered through major US carriers: AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and most regional carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. If you are not receiving expected messages from us, check that you have not opted out previously, that your number is correct on file, and that your carrier is not blocking short-code or long-code traffic.
Privacy
SMS-related data is handled per our Privacy Policy. Your phone number, message content, and opt-in status are stored as part of your customer file for the duration of any active or warrantied work, then purged on the same retention schedule as the rest of the customer file.
